NEWS FROM 6B
Week of March 6th, 2017
Dear Girls, Boys, Parents, and Friends,
Monday- We got our math chapter tests back and did a hieroglyphics worksheet in reading for The Egypt Game. We got our study guides for our quiz and Scholastic News in social studies.
Tuesday- Tai from the TV show, Survivor came to visit us. He did a presentation and showed us different items from the show! We did not have science and math, so we had reading buddies at 10:20. We presented our Black History Month reports and corrected grammar pages.
Wednesday- In the morning, we played soccer in P.E. and we did not have social studies class. In the afternoon, we had Reconciliation in the church for Lent, so spent less time in science lab. We were told today that we now have a new prayer partner, Geri Murphy, who used to be a sixth grade teacher here at St. Gabes and worked with Ms. Manière years ago.
Thursday- We had a pop quiz in math about surface area and Miss Bray taught us how to set up the March Madness brackets in computer class. We finished our novel, The Egypt Game, we had a Family Life test and a grammar test on adjectives. Also, Katie is back from her vacation.
Friday- We went to Jack’s house, "the Mineral Man", where he showed us a variety of minerals and he gave us each a piece of pyrite. Some of got to meet Lucille and we did not have science or math due to our field trip. Our new prayer partner came to visit us and we did an activity with her about filling buckets with compliments for each other over the Lenten season.
Have a great week,
Kenneth Li
